This is an opportunity to be part of a small, focused organization with international reach, with a product that lies at the heart of 911 call centers, railway classification yards, and airline dispatch centers.Position descriptionThe Software Configuration Management engineer will have overall responsibility for the change management and configuration control processes embedded in our software engineering life cycle. This position will manage Avtec's source code and all of the related processes and tools. We are looking for a thought leader in this area; someone to institute industry standard processes and roll them out for all of the Agile development teams. It includes managing all submitted code changes, maintaining the code library and resolving conflicts in any parallel development. This position will also act as the SW Build Manager to ensure controlled builds are being completed for testing and act as Release Manager to ensure that all successfully tested SW is captured in the SW Development Library, baselined and released to the customer with all accompanying documentation. This position involves the following duties
